How much does branding cost in India? (2026)
Branding prices in India vary too widely between freelancers, studios and agencies for one honest range, and we won't quote a figure we can't source. The price follows what you need: a logo only, a full identity system, or strategy plus identity. pSkyro Labs doesn't publish a price list; pricing is decided after a consultation.
What each branding tier includes
| Tier | What you get | What drives the price | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo only | A logo and basic files | Number of concepts and revision rounds | A quick start, a side project, a test |
| Brand identity | Logo suite, colour and type system, brand guidelines, stationery and social templates | Depth of the guidelines and the number of applications | A business that needs a consistent look everywhere |
| Strategy plus identity | Positioning, personality and messaging, then the full identity, with naming where needed | Research and strategy depth | A new brand, a repositioning or a crowded market |
| Roll-out support | Packaging, website, social and launch assets in the new identity | How many touchpoints you need | Brands about to launch or relaunch |
What is the difference between a logo, an identity and a full brand?
A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the system around it: colours, typography, graphics, templates and the rules for using them. Branding is wider still. It includes who the brand is for, how it speaks and what it promises, which is the strategy that the identity then expresses.
That is why quotes for "branding" are rarely comparable. One studio may mean a logo and a colour palette. Another may mean research, positioning, naming, identity, guidelines and launch support. Ask for the deliverables list before you look at the number. Our explainer what is a brand identity covers the parts.
What changes the price of branding?
Six things move a branding quote. Most of the price is in the first two, not in the logo itself.
Strategy and positioning
Research, competitor review, positioning and messaging take senior thinking time. A project with strategy costs more than one that starts at design, and it usually produces a more distinctive result.
Naming
Naming is its own piece of work: ideas, checks for availability and trademark risk, and testing with real people. If you already have a name, this drops out of the quote.
Number of concepts
Some studios show one considered direction and refine it. Others show several. More concepts mean more design time, and not always a better outcome.
Brand applications
Packaging, social templates, stationery and website designs each need their own work. A list of applications on the quote tells you what the identity will actually be used for.
Depth of the brand guidelines
A one-page palette is different from a full guidelines document that a new designer could follow without calling you. Depth takes time.
Timeline and revisions
A rush, or an open-ended number of revision rounds, raises cost. Agree the revision rounds up front.
What does pSkyro Labs include in a branding project?
These are the stages and deliverables on our branding page.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Understand | Your business, audience, competitors and what the brand must make people feel |
| Define | Positioning, personality and messaging, and naming support where needed |
| Design | Logo and identity concepts, refined into one direction with you |
| Build | The full system: logo suite, colour, type, graphics, templates and guidelines |
| Evolve | Roll-out support across website, social, packaging and sales material |
Freelancer, agency or studio: who should do your branding?
This table is qualitative. Prices overlap, and a senior freelancer can cost more than a small studio.
| Compared on | Logo maker or template | Freelancer | Studio like pSkyro Labs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | A placeholder while you start | A defined logo or identity job | A brand you plan to grow and need to defend |
| Strategy | None | Sometimes | Part of the process |
| Uniqueness | Shared templates; others may look the same | Varies by person | Designed around your business |
| Guidelines | Rarely | Sometimes | Included |
| Main risk | Looks generic and may not be ownable | Availability, and thin guidelines | Cost; choose a studio whose work you admire |
What should a small business budget for?
Decide what the brand has to do first. A local business that needs a clean, consistent look may only need an identity. A product brand heading into a crowded category, or a company repositioning itself, needs strategy as well.
Then budget for the applications. A logo alone does little. The packaging, the website, the social templates and the signage are where customers meet the brand. Plan their cost with the identity, not after it.
We do not state a typical rupee figure here because we could not verify one against a source for this guide. Ask three studios for a quote against the same written brief and compare deliverables, not totals.
What hidden and ongoing costs should you plan for?
Applying the brand
Printing, packaging production, signage and a new website are separate from the identity design.
Trademark checks
Registering a name or logo as a trademark is a legal step with its own fees. Ask your studio what they check, and speak to a trademark attorney for registration.
Fonts and licences
Some typefaces need a paid licence for commercial use. Ask whether the identity uses licensed or free fonts, and who holds the licence.
Brand upkeep
New products, campaigns and hires all need templates and decisions. Guidelines reduce that cost, and some studios offer ongoing support.

Questions people ask.
How much does branding cost in India?
It depends on whether you need a logo, an identity system or strategy plus identity. We don't quote a typical range because we couldn't verify a published one for this guide. pSkyro Labs doesn't publish a price list; pricing is decided after a consultation.
How much does a logo cost in India?
Logo prices vary from a template or logo maker to a senior designer's concept work. A logo alone is not a brand: ask what files, concepts and revisions are included.
Why is branding so expensive?
Because most of the work is not the logo. Research, positioning, a full identity system, guidelines and applications take senior time. A cheap logo is cheap because those parts are missing.
What is included in a brand identity?
At pSkyro Labs: a logo suite, a colour and type system, brand guidelines, and stationery and social templates. Strategy and naming are added when needed.
Do I need brand strategy as well as design?
If you are entering a crowded market, launching a new brand or repositioning, yes. If you already know who you serve and what you promise, an identity may be enough.
How long does branding take?
It depends on scope: identity only, or strategy, naming and packaging too. We agree a timeline once we know the scope.
Can I rebrand later?
Yes, but a good identity is built to last. Guidelines make it easier to keep the brand consistent as the business grows.
Do you do branding for businesses outside Bhopal?
Yes. Our studio is in Bhopal and we work with clients across India over video calls, and with brands selling in the US, New Zealand and Australia.
