What is an MVP?

Definition: An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest working version of a product that real users can try, built to learn whether the idea is worth growing.

An MVP is the smallest version of a product that solves one real problem for real users. It exists to test the idea cheaply before you build everything. pSkyro Labs helps founders decide what to build first and what to leave out, then designs, builds and launches the MVP.

What goes into an MVP?

Only the features needed to prove the main idea. A booking app might need search, a booking flow and payment, and nothing else. Everything else waits until users show they want it.

The word 'minimum' is the hard part. Most MVPs fail by being too big, not too small.

How do you scope an MVP?

Our process runs through product discovery (the problem, users and what already exists), MVP scope (the smallest version that proves the idea), prototype and interface, build in working increments, then launch and iteration. A prototype tested with users comes before development.

How much does an MVP cost in India?

It depends on features, user roles, integrations and platforms. Indian MVP development cost guides (2026) put simple MVPs at about $10,000–$25,000, mid-level ones at $25,000–$60,000 and complex SaaS MVPs above $60,000. A tight scope is the biggest lever. We give a fixed quote for the first release.

MVP complexityTypical range (Indian guides, 2026)
Simple$10,000–$25,000
Mid-level$25,000–$60,000
Complex SaaSAbove $60,000

No-code or custom?

No-code is fastest and cheapest to start; custom gives more control as you grow. See the no-code vs custom MVP comparison.

How we work on a first version

Our digital product development service covers discovery, design and the MVP itself, so a founder leaves with a working first version and a launch plan. We have not published launch metrics for any MVP project.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

What does MVP stand for?

Minimum viable product.

Is an MVP a prototype?

No. A prototype is a mock-up. An MVP is a working product real users can use.

How long does it take to build an MVP?

It depends on scope and discovery. We scope it on a call.

Should an MVP be free of bugs and polished?

It should work reliably for its core job. Extra polish and features can wait.

What happens after the MVP?

You watch what users do, then decide what to improve, add or drop.
